A brief history of babydoll lingerie
Women’s nightwear has evolved and changed over time. Yet in the 1930s, short and sensual were the order of the day. Women often wore “bed jackets,” which were short to match short negligees. These were sometimes trimmed with feathers or lace. First sexy babydoll pieces were based on the bed jacket idea.
Baby doll lingerie is not a novelty. It has been mens and women’s favorite for a while now, known as ‘classic’ and has a great reputation for being sexy and innocent at the same time. Babydoll fans have their favorite styles, and designers develop and improve their designs on regular basis. The Sexy Babydoll Concept however has always been the same. Babydolls have quite interesting history, of which not many are aware.
