The Variety Of Sexy Panties for Everyone’s Body

These days the choice of sexy panties is almost unbelievable. No matter if you want them to help you feel attractive, comfortable or to just fit your outfit for some special occasion, there is no doubt you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for. Just like with any other sexy lingerie there’s hardly any limit to colours, styles and materials when it comes to lower underwear. Shopping online, since it became immensely popular, has been increasing the options while choosing intimate apparel, including panties. The variety of cuts and colours for a lower price make the customers opt for browsing online from the comfort of their homes. Obviously, deciding on one favourite pair can be a challenge.

There are three basic categories of women’s lower parts of underwear:

Briefs - the most popular and typical pair of women’s lingerie, cut like the bottom part of a swimsuit. In fact, many briefs are considered bikinis. Apart from the cut on the thighs and the rise, there are hardly any variations of this style. Briefs that are low-rise and show your belly button can be very sexy.

Boy shorts - they’re a variation of briefs. They’re cut longer on the thigh and look like some very tight and short shorts, but you wouldn’t confuse this sexy cut to regular shorts. Sometimes, to make boy shorts more erotic, the producers trim them with lace or use various alluring patterns and materials.

G-Strings and thongs - integral part of many sexy lingerie sets - although these two names seem to represent types of panties that are very alike, there is a slight difference. They both consist of a patch of cloth covering the front and a much narrower strip of material sitting between the buttocks. Still, the strip is often wider on a thong than on a g-string. A lot of women like to wear thongs because they resemble less of regular briefs and but aren’t as defiant as g-strings. Many people find thongs very sexy for exposing the buttocks. Thongs at present day are unquestionable essential in any lingerie drawer.

Sexy panties, apart from being a fun to buy, can help you feel sexy and confident not necessarily being exposed to anyone. Thongs are not only alluring but also helpful when it comes to visible underwear lines. Boy shorts are flirty and make you feel like a carefree young girl again. Even regular panties with some detail added can be a subtle arouser. Don’t waste your time and go on choosing the perfect cut for you. Whichever you decide on, remember that feeling pretty and comfortable is the ultimate aim.

Women’s bra - today’s essential novelty

Nowadays bras are so popular that it is hard to believe that there was a time when they did not exist. They offer both style and function, can emphasize busts and can offer enhanced sensuality. They seem so basic, however as other modern womens underwear styles they are quite recent invention. Today women’s sexy underwear is available in wide variety, and bras not only are everyday essential but with matching brief constitute most flattering and seductive pieces of lingerie on the market. But do you know history of brassiere ?

Ages ago…

Ancient cultures as Egypt or Greece when women’s underwear was almost unknown - men an women covered their chests with loose tunic garments. These cultures knew no inhibitions as far as exposing breasts is concerned. What’s more - in Greece women’s breast had a great and almost mythic significance. Only for athletic activities Greek women did cover breasts with tight bands - ‘apodesme’.

In Rome breasts weren’t exposed - men and women wore loose tuicts to cover their chests. Some women wore version of greek apodesmes called ’strophium’ - that was used only to minimise (!) their breasts - very ealy example of women’s underwear.

Middle Ages…

‘Modern mythology’ pictures medevial women in tight bodice garments - designed to emphasize breasts. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Since Roman empire specifically forbade drawing attention to female breasts, those bodices were tight, but designed to restrict and minimise any of womens curves - breasts or hips. These simple shifts were worn underneath medevial skirts.

Renaissance times…

Completely different style. Opposite to medevial trends - it was in fashion to expose cleavages - show decoltage. This era can be considered as dawn of modern sexy lingerie. Even breast feeding was discouraged back then, as it had a some effect on the breasts’ shape. Renaissance is also the time when first corsets appeared.

Victiorian age - age of corsetry..

Corsets - once they appeared - they proved the power of exposing breasts and enhancing silhouettes and remain foundation for sexy lingerie styles until today. Boned and very tightly laced were commonly worn until late years of nineteenth century. Working women had of course more practical and less restrictive underwear alternatives but they resembled corsets in many ways anyway.

Clothing Reform

Doctors begin to recognize serious risks of very tightly laced corsets. At the same time feminists movement at very early stage tires to free up women from restrictive ‘ancient’ women’s underwear as a first step to taking on larger roles in society. These two movements however lead to development of the bra as we know it today, although back then only educated individuals or athletes deemed it necessary to wear it.

World War…

Great deal of women in Europe went to work in factories. Steel commonly used as stays for corset - was in shortage as it was necessary for the industry to support war effort. During the war the attitudes began to change.

After the war…

…bra becomes commonly accepted. By the end of twenthieths it replaces restrictive corsets in most of underwear wardrobes. Although styles, colours designs and fabrics changed over the years, leading to bra as sexy lingerie as we know it, the garment concept remains the same since 1920s.

The 60s

The women’s liberation movement takes credit for the record numbers of women stopping to wear bras at the same time. Bra-burnig may be only the urban legend, but as the matter of fact many women stopped wearing them completely.

… and today

After all the drastic turns in the sexy lingerie and bras history - today womens underwear is appreciated, available in numerous styles, colours, and also designd by the finest creators. Matching lingerie styles based on perfect coordination of bra and sexy panties are quite common and almost every modern woman has such set in her drawer. Market responds the increasing demand and today’s sexy lingerie options are almost unlimited - whether you are in the mood for elegant bra and ruffle briefs or a bit wilder version with thong.

The Chemise - Feel Sensual and Comfortable Every Night

Chemises have been out there since the Middle Ages. They served as a part of women’s underwear to protect the body from sweat and to preserve the outer clothes. As a one-piece, they were used and washed daily. Chemises were very popular and worn throughout Europe until the middle of the last century, where they were replaced by modern undergarment, such as bras and panties. Today, a chemise is still widely worn, but for different purposes. (more…)
